My how time flies!

Today Sophie Marie turned 6 months old! It's hard to believe that half a year has passed already! God has blessed us with such a good baby!

This past weekend...

On Saturday, we went to a Disney themed birthday party for our little friend, Levi, who recently turned 2. Guess who Sophie went as:

Then, on Sunday, we dedicated her at church. The privilege of giving the gift of our daughter back to God is something that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We couldn't be more blessed!

Thankful for a flexible work environment...

Our schedule yesterday was not like normal days and Sophie came to work with me for a few hours. She was very content to sit on my lap for the most part...thank God for a happy baby!

We took Sophie swimming for the first time this past Wednesday. She loved it! She kicked and kicked! Going to have to do this as much as we can this summer and get her acclimated to the water. Then, when she's old enough, we'll do swimming lessons. Can't wait!

An even more beautiful life...

I know I haven't blogged in a very long time, but a new event in our lives has made me try my hand at blogging again. On April 18, God blessed us with the most beautiful little girl! Little Miss Sophie Marie! Weighing in at 5 lbs and 13 ounces (coincidentally, also her Daddy's birthweight) and 18 inches long, she is absolute perfection and the apple of our eyes!

 I'm going to try my hardest now to try to update this blog so our friends and loved ones can watch Sophie grow. So get ready for tons of pics, cause we take a lot!

So I turned 33 today. It does not feel any more different than 32 did. As I look back on my life and all of the dreams that I had, I can see that God has a sense of humor. All my life I wanted to be a doctor, then I found out I could sing well enough to be paid for it, which changed the path of my life forever. I wanted to be married and starting a family by the age of 21, but God had other plans-I wasn't married until the age of 30. I really thought that we would have started a family before 33, but God had other plans. Throughout the last two years Keith and I have been thrown many curve balls and they have not been easy, but through all of it, I can say that God has been faithful and that I am not unhappy with the path that HE chose to put me on. I have the most wonderful man by my side. He is a good, Godly man, and best of all, he is in PERFECT HEALTH! I will embrace this year thankful for the 33 good years so far with anticipation of the awesome future that he has in store for us...and with secret hopes that maybe, just maybe, this is the year that he will allow us to be parents!! :)
